Bridal Terms & Conditions
1. Bookings
To secure your booking, a $250 deposit is required. The fee is deducted from the total cost of the booking. Your booking date is not secure until a booking fee has been received, and no dates will be held without a booking fee. All booking fees are strictly non-refundable or non-transferable regardless of the reason given.
2. Booking Numbers
Please consider and confirm your numbers carefully at the time of booking, as the makeup artist does not offer any reductions to the invoice. If a member of your party cancels, you are welcome to replace them with somebody else. Additional services can be booked after the initial deposit is paid however artist fees will apply. Please note, there is a 4-service minimum Monday-Thursday and a 5-service minimum Friday - Sunday (all minimums are exclusive of flower girls).
3. Trials (pre-wedding previews)
Pre-wedding previews are already included in your package upon booking. Although a preview is not mandatory, the makeup artist does highly recommend clients to have one. If a client(s) chooses not to have a preview, there will be no time at the event to make changes and the makeup artist must be given an inspiration photograph with clear directions and instructions by the client(s). If a preview appointment is cancelled by the client(s) within 7 days of the scheduled appointment, the preview price of $180 will still be owed & ultimately forfeited. Previews are only available Monday - Friday due to the makeup artist’s busy weekend schedule. Previews outside of these select days are upon request only. All previews are held at the makeup artist’s home studio located in Miranda.
4. Early Call Out Fee
A fee of $110 will be charged for any bookings starting at or before 6am AEDT. In extreme cases such as an early start and long commute, the makeup artist will require accommodation the night prior to the wedding. This will be communicated at time of booking.
5. Accommodation
Accommodation may be required the night prior to your wedding if the getting ready location is more than 2 hours from my home in Miranda and/or is an early start. This is to ensure my safety when driving long distances on top of a full working day.
6. Assistants
For groups of 7+ (excluding flower girls) or large group/early start the makeup artist may require an additional artist to support on the day of the wedding. This will incur an additional fee plus travel for the extra artist attending.
7. Additional Touch Ups
If the makeup artist is required to return to the wedding location for touch ups, an additional fee will be charged. This is dependent on location, time & number of touch ups which will be quoted at time of booking.
8. Travel Fees
Travel within a 10KM radius from the makeup artist’s address (Miranda 2228) is a standard rate of $35. Locations more than a 10KM radius from the makeup artist’s address will be charged at a rate of $1 per 1km of total travel. The travel fee applies for all pre-event makeup consultations and also the day of the wedding.
9. Parking Fees
The client(s) is to cover the parking fees for the makeup artist where applicable. This includes hotel parking, meter parking and venue parking. The makeup artist should be able to park in the closest available spot to your getting-ready location, as they will be carrying a significant amount of equipment.
10. Delays
Please be prepared to start at the allocated time. A delayed fee of $55 for every 30 minutes will incur if the makeup artist arrives at the agreed time and the first person in the bridal party is not ready for their makeup application.
11. Damage
Any damage to the makeup artist or their assistant’s kit/equipment by the bridal party or guests will be covered by the client(s).
12. Location Requirements
The getting ready location is at the discretion of the bride however, there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs to complete services. A work area with a table and a highchair/stool (where possible) as well as ample lighting (natural or artificial) is necessary for services to be performed properly. Smoking & vaping is not prohibited in the working environment at all times due to health & safety reasons.
13. Satisfaction
Services will be completed to each client’s satisfaction on the wedding day & ample time is given for each makeup upon booking. Verbal agreement is thereby confirming the client is happy with the services performed. If the client(s) is unhappy with the makeup provided, they must raise their concern whilst the makeup artist is still on location so it can be rectified.
14. Product Availability
The client acknowledges that products used in their pre wedding preview may be subject to discontinuation or may be refreshed as part of regular updates to the makeup artist’s kit. As such, the makeup artist cannot guarantee the exact products used during the trial will be available on the wedding day. The makeup artist will make reasonable efforts to use comparable products of similar quality and effect.
15. Wear & Tear
External factors such as garment steaming or exposure to dance floors may impact the longevity and appearance of your bridal makeup. All garments must be steamed prior to getting ready so as not to affect the bridal makeup. The makeup artist cannot be held responsible for any deterioration caused by these conditions, and while all reasonable efforts will be made to ensure lasting results, environmental factors may influence the final appearance.

17. COVID-19
Enforced cancellations due to government regulations such as lockdowns will result in the bride receiving a full refund minus the booking fee. The booking fee will be credited to a future date. If the makeup artist is unavailable for the new date, then the booking fee is forfeited as the booking fee is non-refundable.
18. Reschedule or Postponement
If you choose to reschedule or postpone your wedding for any reason, including unforeseen circumstances, you will
be subject to new pricing. The deposit can be moved to a new date within one year of the wedding date pending availability. If the makeup artist is not available the date the client has chosen, the deposit will be forfeited.
19. Cancellation
The cancelling of wedding makeup requires 60 days’ notice. Failure to notify the makeup artist prior to 60 days, will result in payment being due in full. This includes, but not limited to, situations where the booking and/or wedding is amended due to personal relationship breakdowns, financial or family situations and unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to: health pandemics, change to regulations, health warnings, weather events, travel limitations, venue closures.
Failure to pay the full balance due will result in a final letter of demand which will be emailed to the address supplied. If after 7 days of the letter being sent full payment has not been made, the makeup artist will pursue legal action to retrieve those funds.
All bookings fees are strictly non-refundable or non-transferable regardless of the reason given. The booking fee is to cover administration and loss of other bookings caused by allocating your booking. In the unlikely event that the makeup artist is unable to attend the clients booking due to sickness, injury, personal emergency or any other circumstance beyond their control, the makeup artist will endeavor to find a replacement. However, finding a replacement is not guaranteed. The client(s) will receive a full refund of the money paid; less services already provided.
20. Payment
The final balance is due 7 days before the event as one payment, no exceptions. The person responsible for the entire bill is the person who has signed the booking contract. Payment can be paid via the invoice provided in a lump sum- periodic payments are not accepted. No third-party payments are accepted.
21. Use Of Images
It is imperative that the makeup artist continues to update her portfolio and demonstrate her work to future prospective brides. By
signing this contract, you give confirmation for the makeup artist to contact the client's wedding photographer to access professional images and use them on social media/website for promotional purposes. Please let the makeup artist know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or not happy with the makeup artist sharing images for marketing purposes. The makeup artist is happy to be photographed on your wedding day however please ensure she is tagged @ellnicolemua or credited for the work performed.
A copy of these Terms & Conditions will be sent to you upon booking myself for your wedding date & will require yourself to sign before proceeding.
